Updated: September 2026
If you keep your spray records in a spreadsheet, here is a tidy template so no field gets missed. Free, no sign-up: download as Excel (.xlsx) ยท download as CSV. It opens in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets.
The columns
| Column | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Date | The day of the job, like 15/04/2026 |
| Task type | Spraying, fertiliser, irrigation, sowing, harvest or other |
| Field | The field name |
| Crop | The crop in that field |
| Product and Registration number | Trade name and registration number, for sprays |
| Dose and Unit | For example 1.2 and l/ha |
| Treated area (ha) | The hectares actually treated |
| Applicator | Who did the job |
| Notes | The reason, such as the pest or disease |
The first row is an example on winter wheat. Delete it and start.
What a spreadsheet will not do
- It does not check that the product is approved for your crop or that the approval is still valid.
- It does not work out the harvest interval.
- In the field, with no signal and gloves on, it is hard to fill in.
In the European Union, every professional pesticide application has to be recorded electronically from 2027 (Regulation (EU) 2023/564).
When you are ready, move it into the app
