Spray records and a field log on your phone, wherever you farm
Updated: September 2026
Every farm that sprays ends up keeping a record, whether the law asks for it or a buyer does. The question is only whether it lives in a notebook in the truck, in a spreadsheet nobody updates, or somewhere you can show in a minute. Agro GPS was built for European rules, which are among the strictest anywhere, and the same app works on any farm in the world.
What a good spray record holds
Rules differ by country and crop, but the records that hold up in an audit share the same core. For every application:
| Field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Date and start time | Pre-harvest and re-entry intervals are counted from it. |
| Field and area treated | Which block, and how many hectares actually got product. |
| Crop and growth stage | A label allows a product on a crop, often only at certain stages. |
| Target pest, disease or weed | The reason for the application; auditors ask for it. |
| Product and its registration number | The brand name alone is not enough: the number ties it to the label. |
| Rate and total quantity | Per hectare, and what left the tank in total. |
| Who applied it, with what equipment | Applicator, licence where one exists, and the sprayer used. |
| Weather at the time | Wind speed and direction are the first question after any drift complaint. |
Who asks to see it
- Regulators. In the European Union every professional application must be recorded electronically from 2027 (Regulation (EU) 2023/564). In the United States, certified private applicators have to record restricted-use pesticide applications and keep them for two years under the USDA recordkeeping rules. Many other countries have their own version.
- Buyers and packers. Before they take a load they want to know nothing was sprayed inside its pre-harvest interval. A clean record is what gets the truck loaded.
- Certification schemes. GLOBALG.A.P. and buyer protocols audit the spray record line by line.
- Exporters to Europe. Residues are checked against EU maximum residue levels at the border; the record is your proof of what was used and when.
How Agro GPS keeps it
- Your fields on the map. Draw each field on the satellite map once, or stand in it and drop a pin. Area is worked out for you.
- A job in 30 seconds. Spraying, fertilising, irrigation, sowing or harvest, with big buttons and a one-tap repeat of the last job.
- Works without signal. The job is saved on the phone and syncs when the signal comes back.
- Rain and wind alerts. Forecasts for each field warn you before you go out to spray.
- Your team on the same record. Family and staff join with a QR code, each with their own role.
- Your data stays yours. Exporting the full record is free, on a paid plan or not, and also if you leave.
What is Europe-only
Some features depend on official European data: checking each product against the national register, finding a parcel from its cadastral reference, and exporting in national formats. Outside Europe you type the product and its registration number yourself, and everything else works the same.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Yes. Unlimited jobs, fields on the map and offline use are free with no card and no time limit. A paid plan adds farm accounts such as cost and margin per field.
Does it work outside Europe? Yes. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play worldwide and in the browser; you draw your fields on the map instead of using a cadastral reference.
Which languages? The app speaks 29 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
Can I use it for an export farm audit? The record holds the fields auditors check, and you can export it to share with your buyer or certifier.
